After showing off their latest gaming devices at a pop-up event in Sydney last week, ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) 2023 range of devices is hitting retailers now with Australian pricing now available.

The new Zephyrus, STRIX SCAR, TUF and FLOW models were announced during CES in January, and use recently announced hardware including the latest 13th Gen processors from Intel and Ryzen Zen 4 processors from AMD, as well as GeForce RTX 40 Series Laptop GPUs from NVIDIA.

As you’d expect with the high end gaming range, ASUS ROG have also improved their cooling efficiency on the new range with a larger full-width heatsink and Tri-Fan Technology, both introduced last year on the Flow X16.

ASUS ROG are also expanding their range with improved Nebula Displays, their name for displays which ’meet a strict criterion of fast motion, bright backlights, and vivid colours’.

ROG Strix SCAR 16 (G634) and 18 (G834)

The new range is headlined by the new Strix SCAR 16 (G634) and 18 (G834) which include 16-inch and 18-inch Nebula displays with HDR mini-LED and are capable of 240Hz refresh rates at QHD resolution.

Both include up to the 13th Gen Intel Core i9 13980HX and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU at 175 W. Both models can be configured with up to 64 GB DDR5 4800 MHz memory and up to 4TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.

ROG Strix G16

ASUS says the ROG Strix G16 is also available now, with a 13th Gen Intel Core i9 13980HX processor as well as up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU. Both models will also be able to be configured with up to 32 GB DDR5 4800 MHz and up to 2 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.

Zephyrus M16 (GU604)

There’s also the Zephyrus M16 (GU604), their first 16-inch device in their range to include the ROG AniMe Matrix LED lighting array.

The Zephyrus M16 has a 16-inch, QHD Nebula HDR Display with Mini-LED technology that includes 1,024 dining zones with 1100 nits peak brightness and comes with an Intel Core i9 13900H CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU and will include options for up to 64 GB DDR5 4800 MHz memory and up to 2 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.

TUF Advantage Edition A16 (FA617)

The TUF Advantage Edition A16 (FA617) is also available in-store now. The TUF A16 is an all-AMD powerhouse featuring the latest Ryzen 9 Zen 4 processor and up to a Radeon RDNA3 GPU with AMD Smart Access Graphics.

The TUF A16 includes USB4 and up to 2 TB PCIe 4.0 x4 storage, and DDR5 4800 MHz RAM with ASUS advising that all RAM and storage slots are fully accessible. The device features ROG’s new military-inspired Sandstorm paint, with a large 90 Wh battery powering it and USB-C Power Delivery support for charging.

ROG Flow X13 (GV302) and ROG XG Mobile (2023) eGPU

While not technically available just yet, the ROG Flow X13 (GV302) and ROG XG Mobile (2023) eGPU are apparently coming – though from talking with the ROG staff in Sydney last week, they’re flat out trying to get the stock here the devices are that popular.

Featuring a re-designed chassis, the Flow X13 2023 will use a 13.4-inch QHD+ resolution ROG Nebula IPS Display on a 360° hinge and will now use the latest AMD Ryzen Zen 4 processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU. The unit will have up to 32 GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to Up to 2 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.

The 2023 Flow will also be joined by a brand new XG Mobile unit featuring the latest GPU hardware from NVIDIA. This time around, the XG Mobile will be powered by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU with a maximum TGP of 175 W.
