To mark the 10th anniversary, Aspera Mobile have announced a new range of mobiles with the Aspera Mobile AS5 available from today for a budget friendly $99 which also includes a removable battery.
Aspera Mobile MD Allan Robertson said “The AS5 is one of six new Australian designed models set to release in 2023.” with the AS5 the first to arrive.
The AS5 supports dual-sim and is unlocked, ready to connect to any 4G network in Australia. It includes a 5” LCD display and is powered by an octa-core Unisoc processor with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage with a microSD card for extra storage. There’s 5MP cameras on the front and back, with the phone including face recognition for unlocking.
The 2,000mAh battery is removable, and while the battery for the AS5 isn’t up on their accessory page just yet it appears to be just $20 for a replacement battery making it easy to carry a spare if you’re worried about battery life.
The Aspera Mobile AS5 includes Android 13 (Go edition) built for devices with limited memory and storage. Google updated Android 13 (Go edition) with new features including Google Play updates support, meaning they can deliver critical updates faster and easier, there’s also better theming with Material You now included.
At just $99 it nails that entry level price point, especially with the option to swap out a battery to prolong its life-span if you’re on a tight budget.
The phone joins the growing Aspera Mobile range, which now includes Smart Phones, Rugged phones with IP67 ratings for more active users and their range of Easy phones for people who aren’t quite wanting to step up to a smartphone.
