Samsung is making a big push into the Kitchen, announcing at IFA here in Berlin they are launching their state of the art cooking range will be available from October.

This means Samsung is a single brand that can offer you your TV, Washing Machine, Dryer, Dishwasher, Oven and Cooktop and in a world where WiFi connectivity in appliances is becoming the norm, you’ll get a full and complete smart home experience from a single brand.

And it’s not just a notification on your phone that your timer is done. Samsung’s new range allows you to set the oven to pre-heat while you’re heading home on those days when you’re running late and want to get dinner started the minute you get home. Or an Oven that has Dual Cook flexibility, allowing you to have two separate temperatures inside a single oven when you’re putting two different things on at the same time that require different temperatures.

Jeremy Senior, Vice President, Consumer Electronics at Samsung Australia says “We’re thrilled to bring further innovation to the kitchen, and for many, the heart of the home with Samsung’s new Cooking range. As Australians increasingly seeks time-efficiencies, our aim is to continually evolve to meet consumers’ changing needs, by having multiple touchpoints within the home. With the launch of Samsung Cooking, we’re proud to facilitate a one brand connected home experience in Australia, and with that, play a role in redefining culinary exploration as Australians embrace the digital chef era,”

But the coolest thing I’ve seen today at IFA has to be the AI Camera inside an oven.

Samsung has cameras inside fridges that allow you to see what you need to buy when you’re out at the shops. But there will be a model in the Samsung range with a camera inside the oven. Why?

Why not?

Well it’s a two hour cook, and you’re watching a movie, open your phone, glance at the picture to see if it’s Golden Brown yet – simple?

But it gets better. Did you make something so great you’re proud of it the way it finished, but also the process of getting it there.

Well, with Samsung’s AI Pro Cooking, you can download a post cook highlight or timelapse to show your dinner party guests, or share on social media. This is going to change cooking influencers forever.

Pair with all this connectivity and smarts the new Samsung Food app and you can see where Samsung is hoping to be your end to end cooking and healthcare service. I say Health because there are plans for the Samsung Food app to even incorporate your health data from Samsung too! Wild integration.

Basically, Smasung Food which is available today, offers 160,000 recipes with detailed filtering options allowing you to find what’s right for you.

Samsung’s all-new built-in cooking range of Ovens and Cooktops go on sale in Australia from the end of October, at Samsung, Harvey Norman and The Good Guys.
