Samsung have announced that the 2nd generation Odyssey Ark gaming monitor has arrived in Australia, with the monitor available from the Samsung online store for RRP $3,999.00.
The second generation of their 55-inch Odyssey Ark, the monitor still includes the Cockpit mode which turns the display into a vertical orientation and retains all the great features of the original including the 165Hz refresh rate, 1000R curvature and HDR 10+ certification, but adds in improvements to Multi View, an option for Display Port and a KVM switch in the monitor.
The Odyssey Ark 2nd Gen Curved UHD Gaming Monitor (G97NC model) now includes a Display Port connector, which replaces one of the four HDMI inputs found on the first generation Odyssey Ark. The monitor now includes 3x HDMI ports and a Display Port 1.4 connector, expanding the connectivity options.
Those four inputs can now be displayed simultaneously using the updated Multi View feature, though you can still only display three inputs in cockpit mode).
Samsung have also included a KVM Switch in the monitor, allowing you to control multiple devices from a single mouse and keyboard – though Samsung does note that ‘Each computer must be connected via USB Upstream cable, sold separately.’
