After four years I still remember the Samsung Ballie announcement at CES in 2020. While that Ballie never arrived, a new Ballie has been announced and it’s been upgraded!
The original Ballie included a camera, and a smart assistant which could do things like patrol your home, the new Ballie adds to that with an AI assistant which can interact with appliances and more, as well as including a built-in projector that can display images or video on the floor, wall or even roof.
Samsung have shown off this next-gen Ballie in a cute video which shows the robot going through an array of features such as distracting the dog with treats, playing videos, displaying workout videos and doing video conferencing using just a convenient wall.
Just like the original Ballie, there’s no word on any pricing or eventual release dates – but my dreams of a rolling robot seem to be edging closer to reality.
