Although Roborock has just released their new robot vacuum cleaner, the S8 MaxV Ultra, that doesn’t mean they don’t have other options for consumers, especially those who want a much more affordable robot vacuum.

The Roborock Q Revo MaxV is their more affordable premium-featured robot vacuum.  It arrives with all the features of last year’s flagships and some upgrades for 2024 and is priced at $2,199.

Although the Q Revo MaxV may not have the super-duper flexi vacuuming arm, it does have its own Flexiarm mopping system.  This allows for an average mopping edge distance of 1.85mm which results in a 98.8% average mopping edge coverage.

The mopping systems are two dual spinning mops which will lift 10mm when it crosses onto carpets or rugs to prevent them from getting wet.

The single roller vacuuming system is capable of up to 7,000Pa of “HyperForce” suction.

The vacuum includes a camera onboard to allow you to not only view your house at any time but also interact with your pets through the two-way voice.

The Q Revo MaxV includes reactive AI Smart Obstacle Avoidance and “PreciSense” LiDAR Navigation for accurate, detailed maps of your home.  From these maps the smart vacuum’s software gives the user smart suggestions for No-Go-Zones to prevent it getting stuck anywhere or falling down stairs.

The cleaning algorithms have been upgraded to allow for faster, more efficient cleaning while at the same time being able to store multi-level maps – no, the vacuum will not transport itself upstairs by itself at this stage unfortunately.

The Q Revo MaxV also offers its own smart assistant, Rocky.  Simply ask Rocky to perform specific tasks for you such as clean a particular area, stop vacuuming and return to dock and more.  Don’t worry though, if you prefer Google Assistant, Siri or Alexa, there is support for them too.

The Roborock Q Revo MaxV comes with the Multifunctional Dock 2.0 which has many new smart features including auto-refilling of the water tank in the vacuum, auto-dust emptying with more than 7 weeks of dust collection possible, hot water washing and drying of the vacuum’s mopping pads.

The Roborock Q Revo MaxV is available now from Roborock’s online store, JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, David Jones, Bing Lee, Amazon Australia, Mobileciti and Robot Specialist for $2,199.
