Philips rolls into the robot vacuum cleaner market in Australia with three models starting at $599

With the demand for robot vacuums ever-increasing, Philips has jumped on board the Australian robot bandwagon announcing three new robot vacuums set to arrive Downunder in the next few weeks.

The three models are the Philips HomeRun 2000, the HomeRun 2100 and the HomeRun 9000. As you would expect the HomeRun 9000 is the flagship model, priced at $2,499 while the HomeRun 2000 starts at just $599.

The Philips HomeRun 9000 is a vacuum and wash robot and includes their PowerCyclone Aqua technology which immediately removes dirty water from the system, ensuring that only clean water is used to mop your hard floors.

The included all-in-one station offers maintenance-free cleaning for up to three weeks. It not only emptys the dirt out of the robot but also refills the clean water tank and emptys the dirty one.

Alexander Gutwirth, General Manager and Director of Australia and New Zealand at Philips said: “We can’t wait to share our latest products with the world. Australia’s reputation as an early adopter of new technology makes it the ideal market for Philips to launch the HomeRun 9000 series, the most advanced robot vacuum cleaner in the world.”

The two HomeRun 2000 series vacuums also offer both vacuuming and mopping capabilities with a high suction power for deep cleaning, which increases even more for carpets and rugs thanks to the robot sensing the surface it is on.

The 2100 series robot differs in that it offers an auto-empty station, which provides up to 70 days of maintenance-free use.

All vacuums can be controlled using the HomeRun app to select options you prefer quickly and easily.

The Philips HomeRun Series is retailing from:

  • Philips HomeRun 2000 – $599
  • Philips HomeRun 2100 – $799
  • Philips HomeRun 9000 – $2499

The models will be available in Australia from the end of October at leading retailers nationwide including Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, Amazon and Bing Lee.
