LG’s 2025 GX9 Gaming monitor line-up includes a bendable 5K display

Ahead of CES next week, LG has unveiled their 2025 GX9 gaming monitors, which include the worlds first bendable ultra-high 5K2K resolution (5,120 x 2,160) display.

The GX9 range uses OLED panels offering brilliant colours and pure blacks in 21:9 aspect ratio, with the highlight, the 45GX990A a 45″ display which can go from completely flat to a 900R curvature within seconds.

There’s also the 45GX950A, which offers the same size 45″ OLED panel with 5K2K resolution, but with a fixed 800R curvature, and there’s also the 39GX90SA, a 39″ display with 800R fixed curvature for those wanting something a little smaller.

Both the bendable 45GX990A and fixed curve 45GX950A support Dual-Mode functions, offering customisable aspect ratios (21:9 or 16:9) and picture sizes (39-, 34-, or 27-inches) to suit your work or gaming.

The monitors include a HDMI 2.1 with variable refresh rate (VRR) support, as well as Display Port 2.1 and USB-C with 90W Power Delivery.

For gamers, the displays include both NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification for smoother gaming.

For the ‘smaller’ 39″ 39GX90SA, the monitor runs WebOS support including all your favourite streaming apps, offering the option to use it as a home entertainment hub without a PC or streaming box when it’s not in use gaming or working.

YS Lee, vice president and head of the IT Business Unit, LG Media Entertainment Solution Company said of the new GX9 range
The UltraGear GX9 series sets a new standard for OLED gaming monitors, combining groundbreaking display technology with smart features that expand and enhance the user experience. From the world’s first 5K2K OLED gaming monitors with second-generation Dual-Mode to smart gaming monitors with built-in webOS, the GX9 lineup pushes the boundaries to deliver maximum value and enjoyment for our customers.

No pricing or availability information has been released for the GX9 range, but we’ll hear more in 2025.
