Samsung bringing AI capabilities along with gaming performance and increased productivity to its monitors at CES 2025

Samsung unveiled its new 2025 Smart Monitor, Odyssey Gaming Monitor, and ViewFinity Monitor lineups at CES in Las Vegas. The new 2025 models include AI features and new OLED display sizes to offer premium experiences for all users, whether they are working, gaming, or creating.

Smart Monitor M9

The new Smart Monitor M9 features industry-first on-device AI features from Samsung to enhance entertainment and interactivity “through smart picture adaption and search functions.”

The built-in AI analyzes the input signal to determine what content is being viewed onscreen and adjusts the display settings to give the user the best visual experience for that content. If you are gaming, the AI will even recognise the genre of game being played and fine-tune the settings to deliver an optimal visual gaming experience.

It also includes 4K AI Upscaling Pro, which upgrades lower-resolution content to 4K quality, resulting in crystal-clear images with enhanced detail.

The M9 features a 32-inch 4K OLED screen with VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 400 for deep blacks and striking colour reproduction.  The addition of the 4K camera makes it ideal for any productivity work as well as streaming or creating.

Samsung Odyssey Series

Samsung has introduced two new sizes in the Odyssey series, the OLED G8 and G6 models.

The Odyssey OLED G8 series features a 27-inch 4K OLED display with a pixel density of 165PPI and a refresh rate of 240Hz.

The Odyssey OLED G6 model offers a massive 500Hz refresh rate on its QHD display for fast, smooth gameplay.  It also features a response time of 0.03ms GTG, support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and is NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible.

Samsung is also showing off the 27-inch Odyssey 3D gaming monitor at CES 2025 which, thanks to its lenticular lens and front stereo camera, does not require the use of 3D glasses to view 3D content.

ViewFinity S8

The new 37-inch ViewFinity S8 is the largest 16:9 4K monitor to date and is designed to “maximise productivity, immersion, and efficiency.” Its sRGB 99% colour gamut on a 4K screen delivers accurate colours in high detail.

It is ideal for productivity with a built-in KVM switch, allowing you to multitask across various inputs with a single keyboard and mouse.

With the new monitors in our industry-leading lineups, we’re giving people more ways to explore the content and connections that they love in new ways,” said Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “Because of our new AI capabilities and size options, 2025 will see users across the world find the right monitor that fits them.”

At this stage local availability and pricing are unknown, but we will bring them to you when available.
