DJI is dominating the portable content creation market, and has done for some time. Today they announce the latest generation of their Osmo Mobile series, the Osmo Mobile 7 and 7P – made to make shooting video on your smartphone smooth and professional.

The new Osmo 7P is the real pick here, not just a handheld smartphone stabilisation gimbal, but also now with a new multifunction module that snaps onto the phone mount to provide light, AI tracking and even act as a microphone receiver for the DJI Mic series.

This means that you can use any video app, even live stream and get tracking of your movement. Previously this was only possible using the DJI Camera app, now you can sit your Osmo Mobile 7P down on it’s built-in tripod mount, activate a TikTok Live and use a hand gesture to initiate tracking.
Additionally if you’re walking along and vlogging, there’s a small light to give you a better look on screen.

Finally, the Module also acts as an RX receiver for the DJI Mic transmitters, meaning high quality audio is at your fingertips.
The DJI Osmo Mobile 7 is a smaller, lighter version without the additional module tracking.

“From award-winning filmmakers to short-form content creators, DJI continues to expand our ecosystem of creative camera technologies and push the industry forward,” said Ferdinand Wolf, Product Experience Director at DJI. “With the Osmo Mobile 7 Series’ latest advances in intelligent tracking and camera stabilisation, capturing beautiful, professional content with a smartphone has never been easier.”
Both new products are available to order now, with the Osmo 7P priced at $219 while the Osmo Mobile 7 is just $159.
