Earlier this year, at CES 2025, Dell announced its new naming scheme, which will make it easier for customers to navigate its portfolio and find the exact product that suits their needs.

The three new categories are Dell (for play, school, and work), Dell Pro (for professional-grade productivity), and Dell Pro Max (for maximum performance). Within these categories are three tiers: Base, Plus, and Premium.  

It’s still a little confusing, but at least from the name, you know what a product is designed for and where it falls in the pricing and power range.

Dell announced today that the new Dell 14 Plus, 16 Plus, and 16 Plus 2-in-1 laptops are now available in Australia and New Zealand.

The new Plus tier is the most scalable Dell PCs for both versatility and performance in each package.  The three new devices sport new designs and Intel Core Ultra (series 2) processors to provide a longer battery life.

The Dell 14 Plus laptop has a light, sleek, stylish design. Its 14-inch display has a 16:10 panel with up to QHD+ resolution and 300 nits brightness. With stereo speakers and support for Dolby Atmos, the Dell 14 Plus is ideal for photo and video editing, coding, collaborating, and more.

The Dell 16 Plus continues the same sleek design language as the 14 Plus. It features a 16-inch display with up to QHD+ resolution and a Mini-LED touch panel with 600 nits brightness. The display is 100% DCI-P3 and has a refresh rate of 90Hz, making it ideal for creating and editing on a colour-accurate, large display.

As you would expect, the Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 is a 2-in-1 device with a 16-inch screen with up to QHD+ resolution and a Mini-LED touch panel with 600 nits brightness. It has the same speakers and colour accuracy as the Dell 16 Plus but has a 360-degree hinge to allow for more formats for watching, using, and creating.
