LG TV owners are getting some extra functionality this week, with the Xbox Cloud Gaming app landing on WebOS this week, bringing hundreds of games to their living room – without the need for a console.
Announced back in January, LG and Microsoft have begun rolling out access to the Xbox app via the WebOS app store. The app will be available to a select range of LG Smart TVs and smart monitors running the latest webOS, including 2022 and 2023 OLED TVs, QNED, NanoCell and UHD TVs.
You’ll need a compatible controller and an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription to access the service which can be found in the Gaming Portal once installed.

Priced at $22.95AUD /month, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate brings hundreds of titles from big developers including Activision, Bethesda, Blizzard, Mojang, Xbox Game Studios, and more, covering titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Avowed, South of Midnight, and upcoming titles including Towerborne. You can even stream games you already own, such as NBA 2K25 and Hogwarts Legacy.
Microsoft has been expanding availability of their Xbox Game Pass streaming service for some time with the service first coming to Samsung SmartTVs in 2022, followed by the Amazon FireTV platform.
If you own a compatible LG Smart TV, you can check the app store on your TV now and download it to check it out.
