Acer unveils new Laptops, Desktops, Monitors and a smart Ring at Computex

In Taipei, Acer is kicking off Computex with a slew of announcements including new AI focused PCs, Predator and Nitro gaming devices, as well as monitors and more – including their latest health tracker, the Freesense Ring. 

FreeSense Ring

Smartwatches are so 2020, with companies looking to new form factors and it seems the ring is the latest battleground for health tracking. The new Acer FreeSense Ring is a lightweight titanium smart ring weighing in at just 2-3 grams. It will be available in severn sizes, and come in Rose Gold or Black finishes, offering biometric tracking 24/7, with AI-driven insights delivered in their app. 

The ring can track a number of stats, including your heart rate and heart rate variability, as well as blood oxygen levels, and your sleep.

The ring itself carries an IP69 rating with 5ATM depth support, so you can pretty much wear it anywhere. 

AI PCs

Acer is launching new AI laptops across the board with devices powered by Intel, AMD and Qualcomm with the new Swift Edge 14 AI, Swift X 14 AI, Aspire 14/16 AI powered by both Intel and Qualcomm processors. 

Swift Edge 14 AI

The new Swift Edge 14 AI is a neat looking device which comes in pearl-white. It’s thin, light and powered by an Intel Core Ultra processor with up to 48 Trillion Operations Per Second (TOPS) of AI processing, 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD. It promises multi-day battery life in a laptop that’s thin, light and has a lovely 14” OLED display.

The Acer Swift Edge 14 AI (SFE14-51T) will be available in Australia in June, starting at AUD $3,999.

Swift Go 14/16 AI

Acer has also announced a new 14″ and 16″ version of the Swift Go, powered by up to Intel Core Ultra 7 processors with integrated Arc graphics, and support for up to 32 GB DDR5 RAM, with up to a 2 TB M.2 SSD.

The Swift Go 14 and 16 AI will both include 16:10 aspect ratio OLED displays, with the 14″ sitting at 1920×1200, while the 16″ will sit at 2048×1280.

The laptops are under 16mm thin, and include a full array of ports including HDMI 2.1 and USB Type-C ports, as well as Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, with DTS:X Ultra audio.

The Acer Swift Go 16 AI (SFG16-74) will be available in Australia in Q4 2025, starting at AUD $1,899. The Acer Swift Go 14 AI (SFG14-75) will be available in Australia in Q3 2025, starting at AUD
$1,799.

Swift X AI

Also on the AI powered laptops is AMD, with the Acer Swift X Ai pairing the AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 processor with up to 50 Trillion Operations Per Second of AI processing. 

The system includes up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, with a 3K OLED display which offers 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, Delta E <2 , and Calman Verified calibration.

Aspire 14/16

Acer have also launched Intel and Qualcomm powered models of their Aspire 14 and Aspire 16 laptops, with the units including a durable, thin and lightweight aluminum chassis that incorporates a 180° lie-flat hinge

Aspire 14/16 AI (Intel)

Acer has also unveiled new Aspire laptops powered by Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 2) processors with built-in Intel Arc graphics and will be offered with Up to 32 GB RAM, 1TB M.2 SSD and a battery capable of up to 26.5 hours of battery life. 

The new Aspire 14/16 will, as you’d guess, include either a 14” or 16” display that will be offered in three options: Touch, Non-touch or OLED – and we’ll have to wait for local launch info to find out which, if any, we’ll see in Australia.

Aspire 14/16 AI (AMD)

The AMD powered Aspire 14/16 will include up to AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processors with advanced “Zen 5” CPU architecture, offering up to 50 TOP of AI Performance.

The units come with up to 32GB of RAM and up to a 1TB SSD. They come with a 16” display, which Acer can configure in three ways: touch, non-touch or OLED.

The Aspire 14 AI (A14-61M) and Aspire 16 AI (A16-61M) based on AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processors will be available in Australia in Q3 2025. The Aspire 14 AI will start at AUD $1,499, while the Aspire 16 AI will start at $1,699.

Aspire 14/16 AI (Qualcomm)

Acer have also launched Qualcomm powered versions of the Aspire 14/16 AI. These Aspire 14/16 models will be offer Qualcomm Snapdragon X Series Processors capable of up to 45 TOPS NPU AI Performance and promise an astonishing 28 hours of battery life. 

The Qualcomm version also includes up to 1TB SSD and up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM.

The Aspire 14/16 (Qualcomm) will also include either touch or non-touch options with 120Hz refresh rate, though no OLED panel. 

The Aspire 14 AI (A14-11M) and Aspire 16 AI (A16-11M) based on Snapdragon X processors will be available in Australia and New Zealand in Q3 2025. The 14″ model will start at a AUD $1,399 and NZD $1,799, while the 16″ model will start from AUD $1,499 and NZD $1,999.

Gaming

While AI PCs are a focus for most computer manufacturers, the gaming sector is still hugely important and there’s a few new models of their high-end Predator gaming devices, as well as their more budget focused Nitro devices.

Predator Triton 14 AI

The new Predator Triton 14 AI is packed with power, including up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with up to 90W MGP.

The laptop includes a 14.5″ OLED WQXGA+ touch display and comes with a haptic touchpad that includes stylus support.

The good news is that Acer Australia have confirmed the Predator Triton 14 AI (PT14-52T) will be available in Australia in Q3 2025, though no pricing has been announced, so we’ll have to wait a little longer for that.

PREDATOR HELIOS NEO 14 AI

Next is the Predator Helios Neo 14 AI, powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU.

The laptop is presented in a 14.5″ premium metal chassis, that  houses the 14.5” 16:10 aspect ratio OLED WQXGA+ display which supports up to 120Hz refresh rate with 0.2ms response. 

PREDATOR ORION 3000

For those looking for a desktop, the Predator Orion 3000 is a compact powerhouse with up to Intel Core Ultra 7, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 all packed into a  28L case.

The system will be offered with up to 16GB DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD.

It looks pretty funky with dual 120mm RGB fans, and comes with WiFi 7 support, and 2.5G wired ethernet.

Acer Nitro 16S AI and Acer Nitro V 16S AI

ACER’s Nitro 16S AI  and Nitro V 16S AI both run up to an AMD Ryzen AI 9 300 Series processor with the 16S AI including an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU, while the Nitro V 16S AI includes the non-Ti GPU, with both including up to 32GB DDR5 RAM and up to 2TB M.2 SSD.

The systems both come with up to a 16-inch WQXGA resolution display in 16:10  aspect ratio that can support up to 180Hz refresh rate. 

Despite being their budget friendly line, the laptops still includes a slim profile less than 20mm, with a metal top cover, and sleek lines.

Monitors

Acer has also shown off two new high-end monitors, with the 32” Acer ProCreator PE320QXT with 6K resolution and built-in 8MP webcam, and the 27” Predator X27U F5, their ultra-smooth 500Hz QD-OLED gaming monitor with 0.03ms response, HDR True Black 500, and 99% DCI-P3.

The Predator X27 X monitor will be available in Australia in Q4 2025, pricing TBA.
