After just showing the devices off over the last few weeks, Google has announced their Pixel 10 series phones and the latest features, alongside new Pixel Buds 2a and Pixel Watch 4.
Just like last year, the new Pixel 10 series includes four devices: the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
The Tensor G5 processor powers the new phones, Google’s most significant chip advancement since the launch of the first Tensor processor 5 years ago.
Built on the 3nm process by TSMC, the Tensor G5 brings a new faster CPU with improved battery life and a TPU that’s 60% faster. The new TPU powers the latest Gemini Nano model, unlocking over 20 on-device generative AI experiences at launch.

New AI experiences will launch first on the Pixel 10 series, including Magic Cue, a new, intuitive and proactive use of AI.
This feature will “proactively suggest relevant information and helpful actions based on the context on your phone,” says Google – and frankly, it looks brilliant.
In demonstrations, the AI was able to surface information including flight and dinner reservations, addresses and more from your Gmail, Calendar, Screenshots, Messages and more, presenting the information where you need it like phone calls and chats.
The Pixel 10 series will include new AI powered features in the camera, including the all-new Camera Coach, an AI guided helper that will offer suggestions to find the best angle and Lighting, as well as the mode, or Auto Best Take, an update of last years Best Take feature that will now automatically pick everyone’s best look in similar photos and show you the best picture.
An exclusive camera feature coming to the 10 Pixel Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL is Pro Res Zoom offering options beyond the 5x optical zoom, all the way up to 100x. It’s not just a crop, the feature utilises the on-board AI to find and recover details in the image.

Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL
Google’s Pixel 10 series keeps similar dimensions, as well as the now signature camera bar on the rear, bumping the internals with the Tensor G5.
The Pixel 10 picks up a 5x telephoto zoom for the first time, giving it a triple camera array on the rear for the first time. The Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL will see improved Optical Image Stabilisation on their main sensor, including on their video boost.
All the Pixel 10 phones will get brighter displays across the range, with the Pixel 10 now capable of up to 3,000 nits, while the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL’s Super Actua displays can now peak at 3300 nits. Alongside the brighter displays on the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL, Google has also bumped the speakers for the loudest and most powerful bass.

All three Pixel 10 phones are now spruiking 30+ hours of battery life, thanks in part to the new Tensor G5 processor, as well as slightly larger batteries. On the charging front, Google is supporting their fast charging with up to 55% charge in 30 minutes using their 30W charger on the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro, while the Pro XL will get 70% charge out of their 45W charger.
Google is launching Qi2 Wireless charging on the Pixel 10 series, though it’s a bit mismatched. The Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro (and Pixel 10 Pro Fold) will support 15W Qi2 wireless charging, supporting MagSafe, as well as their new Pixel Snap accessories, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL supports the newly announced Qi2.2 25W wireless charging standard.
The Pixel 10 will come in a satin finish metal frame in four colour options, including Indigo, a nod to the first-gen Pixel that launched in this stunning blue back in 2016. The Pixel 10 will also come in stunning Lemon Grass, a more intense version of the colour launched on the Pixel 7, as well as Obsidian (Black) and Frost (White).

The Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL feature Google’s most sophisticated design yet and will also come in four colour options, starting with the familiar Porcelain (White) and Obsidian (Black), with two more colourful options: Moonstone and Jade.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold
Google is sticking with foldables, with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. This is Google’s most advanced foldable yet, with a new gearless hinge and the first in the Pixel Fold line to carry an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
On the hardware front, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold has been re-engineered to enable that new hinge design, with the new design allowing them to put a slightly larger external display on the front. Both the internal and external Actua displays are now brighter, peaking at 3000 nits.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold has also seen a battery increase to just over 5,000 mAh, making it their largest battery to date, promising over 84 hours of battery life with their Extreme Battery Saver mode. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold will also support Qi2 Wireless charging at 15W with MagSafe and the new PixelSnap charging accessories.
The foldable experience is getting an update on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, with new Split Screen resizing giving you more control over your multitasking letting you easily scale your split screen view outside the boundary of the display. Sharing images, videos, links, and text is also incredibly fast and intuitive with a simple drag and drop between split-screen apps.
Gamers are getting upgrades on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold too, with Google working with developers like Gameloft and Disney on Asphalt Legends and Speed Storm for a great dual-screen experience. They’ve also added in-game controller support to the front display.
Google is using a new 48MP main sensor on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, alongside a 10.5MP ultra-wide, and 10.8MP Telephoto sensor capable of 5x optical zoom. You’ll also be able to take advantage of the new camera features like Camera Coach and Auto Best Take thanks to the Tensor G5 under the hood which includes improved ISP. Google has added in a neat new Pixel 10 Pro Fold camera feature with Instant View, offering a scroll of recently taken photos alongside your viewfinder.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold will come in two new colours: Moonstone and Jade.
