Samsung have started off the most powerful tech event in the world, CES, with their Companion to AI Living event, showcasing the announcements already made and showing off their AI vision.

CEO TM Roh kicked off the show talking about Samsung’s leadership and how their vast product catalogue and eco-system can provide users with a true AI companion experience in their daily life.

Samsung is building a more unified, more personal experience across mobile, visual display, home appliances and services,” said. “With our global connected ecosystem, and by embedding AI across categories, Samsung is leading the way to offer more meaningful everyday AI experiences.

The Connected AI vision centres around their latest slew of announcements, including the new line of MicroRGB displays, with the flagship 130-inch MicroRGB the first to include the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro which enables precise control of RGB colours so it can create overwhelmingly vivid picture quality for every movie, show or media you watch.

Their 2026 range of TVs include the Vision AI Companion (VAC) announced at IFA last year brings the TV to the centre of the connected home, with the VAC giving personalised recommendations, smarter device interactions and more.

VAC will be available to take requests on any of the Samsung Micro LED, Micro RGB, OLED, Neo QLED, Mini LED and UHD TVs equipped with VAC, including accessing options like AI Soccer Mode, while AI Sound Controller Pro will let you raise or lower volume of the crowd, commentary or background music – simply as VAC and it carries out your command based on the context.

Samsung’s VAC will also let you do neat tricks like having it find the recipe from the video you’re watching, even letting you send the recipe directly to devices like the MovingStyle display so you can use it in the kitchen. Or, you can use VAC to project art or content using the newly announced AI-powered Freestyle+ portable projector onto uneven surfaces.

Samsung’s AI vision also extends to their audio range announced at CES. The,two new WiFi speakers, the Music Studio 5 and 7, which use AI to fine-tune the sound to boost quality to the equivalent of a professional home theatre system.

While AI focused, there was some juicy tidbits on Samsung’s TVs, with the new sets the first to run HDR10+ ADVANCED in its 2026 TV lineup.  The new sets will run Tizen OS which runs their TVs, fridges and more, with Samsung announcing their 2026 range of Samsung TV will be eligible for seven years of Tizen OS upgrades, making sure your TV is up to date and getting new features for years to come.

The TV and living room aren’t the only places we’ll see Samsung incorporate AI into your daily life, with Samsung’s SmartThings platform continuing to expand with the platform amongst the first to add support for Smart Home standard Matter – expanding the range of devices that SmartThings supports to over 430 million.

Launching with Google Gemini powering the AI Vision recognition, the Samsung Bespoke Fridge and the rest of the Bespoke range announced at CES will use the AI Vision to recognise food going into or leaving the fridge, letting you plan meals – including using the ‘Whats for today’ feature which provides recipes based on what’s in your fridge.

The fridge can also report on your food intake for tracking, making it easy to know when you need to restock.

The large display on the fridge is one of the key reasons it’s classed as the Family Hub, with new widgets being added to the Now Brief so you can see your information more clearly, while VoiceID is set to make your data more secure, letting the fridge recognise family members.

Your laundry will also be smarter, with the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo which offers AI-enhanced features like a faster super speed cycle and enhanced drying performance as well as removing the need to transfer loads of laundry.

The new Bespoke AI AirDresser can also improve your clothes care, with its Auto Wrinkle Care feature which uses air and steam to smooth out your laundry, so all you have to do is hang your shirt and it’s ready in the morning.

Samsung have also added an ‘Ultra’ version of their Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam robot vacuum, which is now powered by a Qualcomm Dragonwing processor. The vacuum cleaner features Object and Liquid Recognition for Smarter Navigation, reducing the amount of times you have to go and save your robot vacuum cleaner, as well as acting as a monitor for your home, letting you know if someone unexpected is inside, or just telling you what your pets are up to, even letting you use Bixby to tell the vacuum what to do.

The Samsung booth at CES is absolutely packed, and we’ll be there to check it out. We’ll hopefully be seeing all these new Samsung products arriving in Australia through the year.
