Google has pre-announced the next-gen Pixel 10a, beating leakers to the punch and showing the phone off in a YouTube video.

The 15-second preview with the tagline ‘A phone with more in store, in store soon’ reveals the Pixel 10a, shows a familiar design to last year’s Pixel 9a which also stepped back from the full width camera bar the Pixel line is known for, opting for the same, smaller water droplet inspired camera stack on the rear – which looks almost completely flat on this years model

The phone is shown off in a purple, lilac coloured option – a little different from the current ‘Iris’ coloured Pixel 9a currently on-sale. The phone will be launching a little earlier than the Pixel 9a’s April on-sale date last year, and instead will be available for pre-order from the 19th of February according to the Australian Google Store.

According to the Pixel 10a landing page on the Google Store, there’s a ‘surprise exclusive’ being offered for those signing up between now and launch day, with an offer you can apply to your Pixel 10a purchase.

No specs have been announced in the teaser, so we’ll have to wait for next week for the full spec list, pricing and availability.
