Ring have announced they’re bringing 2K and 4K video resolution to their battery powered doorbell range, launching five new devices starting from just $99.

Available to pre-order from today, the new Ring video Doorbell range includes new 4K resolution models including the battery powered Ring Battery Video Doorbell Pro priced at $399 which includes up to 10x Enhanced Zoom, as well as front door activity alerts including package detection. There’s also a wired 4K resolution option in the Wired Video Doorbell Elite (2nd Gen) which will connect to your existing PoE or powered connections and also brings enhanced 10x zoom, colour video in low-light and more for $749

While 4K is great for capturing a lot of clarity and detail, the new 2K resolution range offers three new models at more budget friendly pricing including the Battery Video Doorbell Plus (2nd Gen) priced at $249 and includes a quick release battery pack to get up and running quickly, the Battery Video Doorbell (2nd Gen), at $149 which includes up to 6x Enhanced Zoom,  and the entry level Wired Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) at just $99 and connects to your existing wiring.

Mark Fletcher, APAC Managing Director for Ring said of the launch

This launch marks an important step forward for Ring across Australia, reflecting our continued focus on innovation and customer choice. With a more versatile lineup spanning 4K video, battery, wired and solar-powered options, we’re enabling customers to tailor their setup to suit their home and lifestyle. It underscores our commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable technology that enhances how people stay connected to their homes.”

Ring is also introducing new solar accessories to minimise charging time. The solar accessories are designed to fit the new Battery Video Doorbell Pro (2nd Gen), Battery Video Doorbell Plus (2nd Gen), and Battery Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) with a choice of the Ring Doorbell Solar Charger for $79 which surrounds the doorbell, or a separate Ring Doorbell Solar Panel for $99 which can be mounted separately where the sun reaches best.

All models are supported by Ring Protect, offering online video storage as well as alert summaries, fast keyword searches for things like ‘car’, ‘package’ or ‘person’ so you can find an event in your history easily.

Using the new higher resolution Ring Doorbells paired with the Ring Protect smarts, Ring says they can deliver more useful information to customers faster so they can stay more informed without scrolling through clips.

The new range is available to pre-order from today, with Amazon listing delivery from May 1st to 4th.
