After announcing a slew of new monitors at CES, they’re beginning to arrive in stores with the Samsung Smart Monitor series arriving in Australia next month.
The Samsung Smart Monitor M8 will be available in 32”, while the M7 will be available in both 32” and 43” size options, with both offering 4K UHD resolution.
The Samsung M8 differs from most monitors including a suite of productivity apps including video apps like Google Duo that utilise the SlimFit camera included with the M8. The Smart Monitor series also includes a full browser and remote PC access for full functionality. The apps include a full Samsung SmartTV experience which includes a remote control, offering users access to streaming apps from Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ and Apple TV via Wi-Fi without having to connect to a PC or TV.
The Smart Monitor Series offers minimal bezel surrounding the HDR 10+ (M8) panel for a more immersive experience and dual 5W speakers built-in. The monitor supports 99% sRGB coveratege, and a 60Hz refresh rate with 4ms Grey-to-grey response in a 16:9 aspect ratio. Samssung has included a micro HDMI port, as well as dual USB-C ports for connectivity with 65W charging support.
