Ever since the launch of the Ecovacs T30 Pro earlier this year I’ve been curious about what’s coming from the company because that thing was wild and had features at the mid range we hadn’t even seen yet in the top end of Ecovacs products. Today the Australian market leader in robot vacuums announced three new products.

At differing price levels, the three products all cater to different audiences and pack new features for their price point.

It’s not like Aussies aren’t keen – Ecovacs research shows we’re vacuuming on average 2.5 times per week, up 20% on a couple of years ago – and 89% of Aussies are open to Robotics if it can help them clean and save time!

n their everyday lives, while 59% of those surveyed were hoping to buy a robotic vacuum cleaner in the near future.

“Today’s launch of three best-in-class products in their own right, and packed with a wide range of new premium features, gives our Australian and New Zealand consumers unprecedented choice that enables them to have the very latest in home cleaning technology,” said Karen Powell, ECOVACS Regional Director for Australia and New Zealand.

“The introduction of these new models shows how ECOVACS continues to lead the way and not just challenge ourselves but the whole industry. We are at the forefront of AI and machine learning, Mapping, Mopping, and cleaning technology, and today is a celebration of how we are staying true to our goal of helping address our consumers’ pain points, needs and lifestyles.”

The three products are the Ecovacs Deebot N20 Pro Plus – $999

The next step up is the Deebot T30S Combo for $2,299 and then the new top of the line is the Deebot X5 Pro Omni for $2,499

DEEBOT X5 PRO OMNI

The X series is the flagship for Ecovacs and this takes the previous generation and steps it up. A slimmer D shaped design makes getting into corners and tighter spaces better. The extendable mopping pads (which we saw on the T30) mean it’s mopping to the edge, plus there’s AI Instant Re-Mopping that looks at big stains and knows it needs a couple of cracks at it.

Epic 12,800Pa suction is best in class and of course the OMNI station does the auto emptying, Hot water mop washing and 2 hour hot drying.

We have “Derek” the Deebot X5 at our home right now for testing and will have a full review very soon.

DEEBOT T30S COMBO

Taking the T30 Pro to the next level is probably the most useful combo device ever presented.

It’s an outstanding robot Vacuum, but it’s also a stick vacuum too.

So you get the Robot, it’s base station where it auto empty’s to. Then on the side is a stick vac you can grab for a quick clean or to do the stairs or that room your wife doesn’t let the robot into – and it also auto empties when you put it back in the combo station.

Brilliant stuff.

Not to directly take away from the premium X5 product, but I think at a glance this may be the value pick of the bunch.

DEEBOT N20 PRO PLUS

As if those ideas weren’t enough – here’s something very new.

The Deebot N20 Pro plus is a cracking great robot vacuum on which the mopping pad now vibrates to mimic the scrubbing motion of the manual process – but for under $1,000 you get an auto empty station that has bagless vacuum vibes.

On the side of the station is what looks like the collection area of your traditional bagless vacuum or stick vac. Well, that’s what sucks out the debris from your Robot, and then you just grab it, and empty into the bin. Easy!!

Ecovacs call this a “PyreCyclone Auto-Empty Station” and I want one!

The company has also brought “down” to this price-point the zero-tangle roller brush technology so that’s a win, and this thing has a FIVE HOUR RUN TIME!

When do these new robots go on sale?

The Ecovacs Deebot N20 goes on sale right now, while the T series Combo and new X5 will be in store in Early September.
