Samsung are expanding their AI Home ecosystem at CES 2025, announcing more home appliances with displays – cementing their vision to bring ‘Screens Everywhere’.

The announcement will see Samsung incorporating their advanced screen tech into more home appliances. The new releases complement the existing Samsung Family Hub refrigerators with 21.5” and 32” displays in them, by offering customers an option to see the Family Hub features on their appliances in a more compact form factor.

The announcement this morning will see a 9” AI Home display added to their Bespoke refrigerators, as well as a 7” AI Home display on the Bespoke AI Washer & Dryer set and Wall Oven.

The displays will feature options to interact with Samsung’s hub functions, controlling third party smart devices including vacuums and air-conditioners, as well as their Smart Things ecosystem for smart plugs and more.

Samsung has also added in specific functions for devices, with the 7” display on their washer/dryer set offering intuitive real-time updates on washing cycles, and energy monitoring. In the kitchen on your wall oven, that 7” display will use AI Pro Cooking to recognise ingredients and cook 80 guided menus, and will also now let you add meals you cook regularly.

It all sounds like a very intuitive way to add AI to the home, and into each room. Unfortunately at this stage, availability of Samsung’s new 9” AI Home on Bespoke refrigerators and 7” AI Home for the Bespoke AI Washer & Dryer set are yet to be announced in Australia – but we’ll update when we know more.

Jeremy Senior, Vice President – Consumer Electronics, Samsung Australia:

Samsung is committed to continuously evolving the potential of home appliances to operate beyond consumer expectations and be accessible in new ways to unlock more value, convenience and joy for Australians, everyday. Pairing AI with advanced screen technologies across a broader range of home appliances in the kitchen and laundry, we’re extending the ability for Australians to securely access and optimise their connected home from more centralised locations while adding entertainment features to unlock more value and joy from individual appliances.”
