Aussie company July, with a worldwide reputation in quality luggage has upped the ante by releasing what they are claiming is a world-first in a new range of trackable cases.
Their CaseSafe technology created in consultation with Apple and Google, incorporate battery-operated locks, compatible with Apple’s ‘Find My’ and Google’s ‘Find Hub’ networks.
It is estimated that about 36 million bags are mishandled each year with approximately 5% of them never to be seen again. To avoid being a contributing factor to those stats, July created the limited edition trackable suitcases launched earlier this year exclusively with Qantas. Demand was so high they sold out in 48 hours.
Now that same technology is available in July’s full range of Carry-On, Checked and Checked Plus sizes alongside their German aerospace-grade polycarbonate shell and SilentMove 360° spinner double wheels.
“Losing your luggage is one of the most common pain points when you travel”, says July’s co-founder Athan Didaskalou.
“This is the beginning of a new era. First it was wheels on a suitcase, now it’s a standard. Integrated TSA locks were rare, now they come by default. What we’re seeing here is the first of a new standard for luggage – once your case is tracked out of the box, you can never go back”
The new range is available on the July website and is priced from $395-$495
