When I first reviewed the July luggage almost seven years ago when the company was just starting out, I was blown away by how light it was, the smooth handling of it when walking it around the airport, the super adjustable handle and of course the included powerbank battery in the carry-on version.
Fast forward to 2025 and July have stepped it up a few years with new CaseSafe technology which allows you to track your bag when you travel – offering the ultimate peace of mind.

Loads of people have been doing this already by simply buying an AirTag or Google compatible tracker. Attach it to a bag-strap or put it in your bag and hopefully you’ll know your bag has joined you in your destination city before you even see it on the baggage carousel.
CaseSafe is basically one of those trackers built in – except it can be either paired to the Apple Find My network, or Google’s Find Hub.
Here’s what happens when you remove the battery tab (the bit of paper that stops the Tracker from being on at Factory) and set it into pairing mode automatically. If you put a Google and Apple phone side by side it will appear in both, and then you choose which phone to pair it with.

To be clear, you cannot pair your luggage to both the Apple Find My AND the Google Find Hub networks, it’s one or the other.
Pairing is a breeze, this was in fact the first time I’d used the Google Find Hub network, and its remarkably similar to Apple’s Find My and works so quickly.

But that then got me thinking, with Apple Find My the compatibility of the “Search Party” devices is extreme, millions of iPhones, iPads and Macs all help your item get its updated location into the system for you to see.
How good would Google be?
We took two bags to San Francisco, one paired to Apple, one to Google.

As we stood at the Baggage Carousel, within easily 5 minutes of each other, both showed the bag being at the Airport – simple, done.
That’s the peace of mind you want – is my bag in the same city as me. No, it doesn’t make your bag come out the collection belt any faster, but you can breathe easy that it is coming!
July Luggage is top notch, great quality and comes in some nice colours too.

The CaseSafe versions are basically $50 more than the standard ones, the price of a tracker and case for the tracker I’d say.
$345 for the CarryOn, $395 for CarryOn with CaseSafe Tracking.
$395 vs $445 for the Checked, and $445 vs $495 for the Checked Plus. Buy the set of three for $1210 with CaseSafe.

Honestly, I’d recommend July luggage at a 10 on that sliding scale of would you tell your friends to buy this, it’s fantastic gear, looks great, and now gives you the ultimate peace of mind.
