Uniden has announced a partnership with charity “Drive Against Depression” in an effort to reduce the stigma around mental illness. The collaboration hopes to support the charity’s mission by fostering “meaningful community connection through a shared passion for cars and driving”

Uniden will undertake a series of automotive events and initiatives that they hope will create an environment where people can share their experiences in a safe space. Their hope is that by undertaking these sometimes difficult conversations, especially if done early they can make a difference to people’s lives.

Drive Against Depression is a perfect fit as their clear purpose is to bring people together through their mutual love of motoring. DAD has already helped over 5,000 Australians in their struggle with mental illness directly and also in providing welcoming spaces for people to discuss their own challenges but also listen to those in similar situations. To be supported without judgement.
