While printers can be cheap, the replacement ink cartridges are often more expensive and a now Canon has joined Epson with a product in market that reverses that trend – the PIXMA Endurance G4600 has ink-tanks to refill instead of replacing cartridges.
Available exclusively at Officeworks for $559 the price might put some off, but the real value is in the long-term. You will never buy another cartridge.
That’s right, you’ll instead just buy ink and pour it into the printer to keep the ink levels high.
When full, the ink tanks can print 7,000 colour pages and 6,000 black and white bringing the cost per page right down, while it’s also has a 20-sheet document feeder allowing you to copy and scan large documents quickly – ideal for the small home office.
The PIXMA Endurance G4600 also has borderless A4 printing, remote printing from the cloud and WiFi connectivity.
You’ll find it from mid-February at Officeworks: RRP $559.
