Happy 10th birthday Apple iPod – we miss you

It’s the 10th birthday of the amazing Apple iPod. After 10 years you can still buy it, but sadly, it’s on life support.

The iPod Classic is still retailing for $279 with an amazing 160GB hard drive. That’s 40,000 songs, a far cry from the 5GB, 1,000 song model released back in 2001. To celebrate that amazing day, here is a look back at the launch with a chubby Steve Jobs. It was a day that changed the technology world. Now the only click wheel model is the Classic and even iOS5 has taken away the iPod logo and branding. How times change. Enjoy the look back!
