Mates Rates: $498 for the new iPad at Big W

So we all know the new iPad hit shelves today, what with our review, photo comparison and guide to its 4G support. But what about buying it. Turns out that Big W has cut the dollars off Apple’s RRP across the board.

Big W pricing starts at $498 for the 16GB Wi-Fi version and ranges up to $858 for the 64GB Wi-Fi + 4G model. Given Apple are selling the same units for $539 and $899 respectively, it’s obvious Big W is one of the best places to buy. Although naturally stock levels at Apple stores are going to be higher than Big W, so you may be waiting a while to pick one up if you opt to save money at Big W…
