After a long time of demand, speculation and then waiting – Facebook users now have the option to react in various ways to a Facebook post – not just to “like” it.

As foreshadowed here some time ago, Facebook was never going to simply add a “dislike” button to their platform. Instead, a set of emotions would be developed, and they were announced as then being called “reactions”.

They were tested in some markets for a while, and are now available to all users.

On your mobile you touch and hold the “like” button then choose a reaction.

On your PC you hover your mouse over the “like” button to view the options to react.

It’s a simple – yet fundamental change to the way Facebook works and will be interesting to see just how it’s received and used – especially by brands.
