Fascinating. I would always ask you to try multiple devices, to eliminate your phone from the equation. Hopefully the phones you’ve tried are a mix of iPhone and Android, and also a mix of old an new.
Sadly, otherwise, there’s nothing you can do. I’d be heading to a different dealer to see if they can look at it. Problematically an eight year old car isn’t going to even be covered under Australian Consumer Law there, so your next best option is to take this opportunity to upgrade your stereo mate.
