Google have announced the latest Google Home product, the Max is available for purchase now in Australia. A beefy, yet sleek speaker that promises to deliver a significantly louder and higher quality of audio than the previous iterations.
Retailing for $549 AUD it’s a far stretch from the other Home products but value for money is still to be determined.
Just as the other Google Home products can, the Max will allow for audio-playback from Spotify, Apple Music, etc. and will connect with the rest of your Google ecosystem such as Chromecasts and other compatible speakers.
The most interesting feature that Google have implemented is what they’re calling ‘Smart Sound’ – a machine learning mechanism that will allow the Max to adjust it’s sound settings based on the acoustics in your room. This means that the Max will produce different sounds according to where you place it. Have a look at their demonstration;
