I know I’ve already started this one a little too nerdy but in plain English, the latest generation of NVIDIA graphics cards (RTX 2060) is faster than the accelerated version of the previous generations flagship graphics card (1070 Ti) – which is a big play.
This is great news for gamers the world over as it means we’re starting to see some serious graphic performance at a much better price point than previously offered. These cards don’t come cheap, they can range from $150 to over $1000, so to see the typically reasonably priced 60-series outperform last years 70-series, it’s great news.
In recent times NVIDIA has been on the back foot chasing AMD and I’m not here to say that’s changed, but affordable consumer tech is a step in the right direction.
The RTX 2060 will be on shelves for $599 and available globally on January 15th – a great card to head into 2019 with.
