If you’ve been under a rock for 20 years, let me be the first to tell you that computers are the next big thing. Subsequently knowing how to program computer software and build systems is quickly becoming a vital skill – which is why products like Zumi exist.
They’re branding Zumi as “the car that learns as you learn“, it sits on the track (pictured) and will do whatever you give it the ability to do. For the nerds, it runs on Python but through a block editor, making it significantly more kid friendly than the native language.
The editor actually has some complex features and allows for adaptive recognition of signs and symbols through a pre-programmed AI mechanism should you want to take the teaching/learning to the next level.
Zumi only launched a few days ago and can be found on Kickstarter here.
Studying Cyber Security and working for Macquarie Media Limited, John is a huge nerd with a passion for video games and computers.
You will often find him in the streets advocating for the benefits of gaming or just generally nerding out.
