Sonos set the benchmark for what we know today as multi-room audio, their speakers work together over your home network to allow you to use your smartphone or tablet to simply play what you want where you want.

With the rise of so many other possible solutions it’s been a competitive time for Sonos of late, but they aren’t dumbing down to be a Bluetooth speaker company, they are amping things up to become the in-home audio solution.

Sonos Architectural by Sonance is a series of all-new gear for the home owner who really loves music.

Passive speakers for indoor and outdoor use all linking back and optimised for the Sonos Amp (Amplifier).

They’re available to pre-order today, and will be available at the end of this month, with Sonos Outdoor coming in April.

“Our goal was to create a solution optimised for installers, bringing the Sonos experience to architectural speakers for the first time,” said Sonos CEO Patrick Spence. “Sonance was the natural partner, sharing our passion for high quality, reliable sound solutions inside and outside the home.”

You can power up to three pairs of Sonance Sonos speakers off a single Sonos Amp which is useful, given the amp is $999, and the speakers are $899 for indoor and $1199 for outdoor pairs.
