They’re one of the greats in the eSports industry, having been at the forefront of accessory development for years – HyperX are one of the most trusted brands among gamers. They’re known for their stunning ‘Cloud’ headsets that remained the standard among professionals for the longest time, and have continued to expand their resume. Leading us to this point, the Alloy Origins gaming keyboard.

It’s a gorgeous mechanical keyboard with HyperX switches which have a 45g actuation point (same as the Cherry MX Red switches) and can supposedly last up to 80 million clicks over their lifetime.

HyperX are calling it a “space-saving” design, more compatible with smaller desks/playing surfaces. While we haven’t got our hands on one just yet, we can see that there’s still a full-size numpad but no programmable keys.

As far as the all important RGB LED’s are concerned, you’ll have per-key control over the colour – with the ability to set three custom layouts to toggle through. The Alloy Origins LED’s are exposed and supposedly quite bright compared to previous models.

We’ve got no price indication as of yet, but we’re hoping to see the HyperX Alloy Origin on Australian shores in August!
