So, you’ve heard the news – Telstra is releasing 5G devices to the public – 5G is real!
With a HTC Hub being a way to get internet into your home or perhaps on the go as its battery powered, and Samsung, LG and Oppo all releasing 5G enabled smartphones – the biggest question is; Will 5G work in my area?
5G is very new, and a whole lot of mobile towers need upgrading, and many more will need to be built – and that’s going to take years.
But for now, it’s happening in small patches across various Cities.
Those cities are Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Gold Coast, Hobart, Launceston, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney & Toowoomba.
Telstra has published detailed maps that show their coverage as it will be at the end of June – the actual coverage is even smaller than this right now.
Check your area on these maps – the Green is 4G coverage, the Purple is 5G:
Adelaide 5G Coverage with Telstra
Brisbane 5G Coverage with Telstra
Canberra 5G Coverage with Telstra
Gold Coast 5G Coverage with Telstra
Hobart 5G Coverage with Telstra
Launceston 5G Coverage with Telstra
Melbourne 5G Coverage with Telstra
Perth 5G Coverage with Telstra

No doubt Telstra will update these maps as they continue their nationwide roll-out of 5G.
