If you’re looking for simple yet reliable – it’s hard to go past Nokia. Since their rebirth as a smartphone brand under HMD they’ve been pumping out great smartphones and feature phones and doing well worldwide.
Now while we here in Australia are as rusted onto our smartphone brands as we are our banks, telcos and insurance companies – many savvy buyers are getting something decent by looking off the main highway.
Nokia’s new 6.2 will feature a triple camera and a large “PureDisplay” screen with HDR capabilities.

All that’s great, but what really matters is the pure Android simplicity. You get guaranteed security updates and faster software updates than with many of the big-name Android phone makers and it’s stock – no bloaty software thrown on top.

Battery is tipped at two days, and it’s not a bad looking unit!

All that for $399 – and it comes in two colours, “Ice” and “Ceramic Black” from this Thursday at Harvey’s, JB Hi-Fi and the Good Guys.
For something a little less “smartphoney” – the Nokia 220 is coming too. 4G capabilities including HD Voice and Voice over LTE it’s right up there in those basic communication technologies.

There is a browser, some games, and even Facebook, but seriously, this one is for calls and the odd text.
This one is for Grandma or the kids.
At just $79 – it’s hard to look past it for simplicity. Also on sale this week at the same places plus Big W, in Black and Blue.
