Honestly, I wonder what we’d all be like if we spent just $299 on our smartphones. Here’s an example – the Alcatel 3X, currently at JB HiFi for an RRP of $299. Must be a bit basic huh?
Nope. Triple Lens camera, Fingerprint unlock, facial recognition unlock, 6.5 inch screen, dedicated Google Assistant button – this thing has it all.
So what’s it lacking? Nothing.
Sure, in a head to head battle you’re going to find phones that have faster processors, they’ll have a different camera sensor or megapixel count – but – what happens in the day to day use of a smartphone you will barely notice the differences.
This phone will run all your apps, the photos you take will look great on Instagram and Facebook.
The Alcatel 3X isn’t for everyone, but for the kids who want access to a good phone for HouseParty or Snapchat and Insta – this ticks the boxes. For those of us upgrading our parents and grandparents to a smartphone – perhaps for the first time, so they can make video calls and stay in touch in these strange times.
