D-Link has today announced their new AX1500 Wi-Fi 6 router, the DIR-X1560 is now available to purchase in Australia.
The router is priced at AUD $249.95/NZD $279.99 and brings fast speeds, greater capacity and less network congestion in modern smart homes.
The DIR-X1560 offers combined Wi-Fi speeds up to 1.5Gbps (1200 Mbps on the 5GHz band and 300 Mbps on the 2.4GHz band). The router also supports Orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA), as well as MU-MIMO (Multi-User, Multiple Input, Multiple Output) – allowing the router to offer up to four simultaneous streams for hassle free 4K streaming, gaming or video calls.
D-Link has also included 1024 QAM boosting throughput to all connected devices by up to 25%. The router has built-in power amplifiers and uses beam-forming to reduce black-spots.
The router supports FTTP / FTTC/ HFC / Satellite / Fixed Wireless NBN connections, and comes with 4x Gigabit Ethernet ports as well as an uplink port.
D-Link is also ensuring the router stays up to date with automated firmware upgrades, which also use a Dual Image functionality which saves a recovery image as a backup before an upgrade so you have something to fall back on if it fails.
For users with Smart Home functions, the router is compatible with both, letting your guests ask for the Wi-Fi credentials, as well as allowing you to reboot your router or update your firmware hands-free using voice commands.
The router can also be managed using the D-Link Wi-Fi app – available for Android and iOS – letting you setup and manage your router, including setting parental controls and manage Intelligent Quality of Service (QoS) directly from your smartphone or tablet.
