At CES TCL have announced their new range of premium TCL 20 phones, but the company also produces the budget Alcatel series and there’s some brand new models coming this year.
The new Alcatel lineup includes the Alcatel 3L, Alcatel 1S, Alcatel 1L, and the family-friendly Alcatel 1T 7 WIFI tablet.
Alcatel 3L
The headliner for the new Alcatel phone range is the Alcatel 3L which comes with a spacious 6.52-inch 20:9 HD+ Vast Display, and is powered by an octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of expandable storage.
An AI-powered triple camera array on the rear features a 48MP main camera main sensor, with a 2MP macro lens for detailed close-ups and a 2MP depth camera for portrait mode. There’s also a HDR-enabled 8MP front camera with Face Tracking.
The phone includes a 4,000mAh battery with 10W charging, but it’s via a microUSB port, so don’t throw those old cables away just yet.

Alcatel hasn’t announced Australian availability at this stage, however it will be priced at €149 (about $235AUD) in Europe and will hit selected markets around the world from March in Jewelry Black and Jewelry Blue colour options.
Alcatel 1S
For those wanting something even more budget conscious, the Alcatel 1S offers similar features as the Alcatel 3L, though with an expected price tag of €109 ($172AUD) when it launches in Europe, there are some trade-offs.

The phone still includes a triple rear camera array, however the main sensor steps down to 13MP, but you keep the 2MP Depth and Macro sensors.
There’s the same 6.52-inch 20:9 HD+ Vast Display on the Alcatel 1S with 88.5% screen-to-body ratio, and again you get an Octa-Core processor and 4000mAh large-capacity battery.
The Alcatel 1S will launch next month in select markets in two colour options: Elegant Black and Twilight Blue.
Alcatel 1L
Alcatel is also offering the 1L, though this time running Android 11 (Go edition), a version of Android designed for phones with lower end specs.

The Alcatel 1L includes a smaller 6.1-inch 19.5:9 HD+ Vast Display, which includes a 5MP selfie camera. The rear of the phone includes a dual-camera array with a 13MP AI-powered main sensor and 2MP macro lens.
Alcatel says the phone is powered by a ‘proficient multi-core processor’, with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage and has a 3,000mAh battery.
Again, there’s no announcement on Australian availability or pricing, but it’s due to arrive in the US in March for $135USD ($175AUD) in either Power Grey or Twilight Blue.
Alcatel 1T 7
Finally, the Alcatel 1T 7 WIFI tablet has been announced as family friendly 7-inch tablet with a budget friendly price.
The tablet comes in two models, a 16GB model which will sell for €59 ($93AUD) and a 32GB model which will sell for €69 ($109AUD).
The tablet will run Android 10 (Go Edition) with support for Google’s complete suite of Go edition apps, including Assistant Go and Google Go for hands-free assistance.
Alcatel will begin selling the tablet in two colour options: Mint Green and Obsidian Black from this month.
