Devices receive the Blue Tick after undergoing through testing at Telstra’s Wireless Innovation Lab in Paramatta along with real world testing in remote locations.
The Blue Tick designates that the device is in Telstra’s top group for connectivity in rural and regional areas with all current Blue Tick devices being either Samsung or Telstra branded.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+ join last year’s Samsung Note20 5G and Note20 Ultra 5G, Galaxy S20 5G, S20+ 5G, S20 FE 5G and the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G as the latest Samsung phones to receive the Blue Tick from Telstra.
For regional and rural users, it is important that their device has undergone “vigorous testing” including real world testing with engineers holding the devices in “different poses” while performing various tests. This way you can be sure you are getting a device that will make give you the best possible performance on the Telstra network in these areas.
