Formula E comes to Stan Sport – Now the race is really on

Tell you what, the shake up in the Australian Sports rights industry is only just beginning. First Stan grabbed the Rugby, then the tennis, then some World Rally, IndyCar and now, the Formula E World Championship

Kicking off tomorrow with the Diryah E-Prix – Stan Sport will feature live coverage of the races and qualifying, while the 9Network will also show Highlights of every round.

The 16-Race series for 2022 continues to take place in some traditional racing capitals, as well as cities that might not normally be associated with motorsport at this level, but are showcasing their “green” wares at any chance. Mexico, Rome, Monaco, Berlin, New York and London – plus this year Vancouver, Jakarta and Seoul join the series.

Stan coverage will be ad-free and live, plus on-demand after the event.

Stan’s Director of Sport Ben Kimber said “Formula E is an excellent addition to our growing Motorsport lineup. With a great variety of racing already on Stan Sport, Formula E showcases the future of the sport in a slick, engaging and seriously fast series our viewers will love.”

Meanwhile Formula E Chief Media Officer Aarti Dabas said “We are excited to partner with Stan Sport, the new home of Formula E in Australia. Our passionate fans will be able to enjoy all 16 races live and ad-free along with live coverage of our new knock out duels qualifying format. Plus, we’re looking forward to introducing new fans to our sport with highlights of every race airing on free-to-air TV with the 9Network. Australian motorsport fans can look forward to the thrills and drama of electric racing in the heart of iconic world cities in our biggest race calendar yet.”

If you’ve got Stan, you need the Sport pack in addition which is $10 per month.
