Samsung have announced a new set of updates for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and Galaxy Watch with 360 Audio recording being enabled on the buds, while the Watch will see zoom controls for the camera added.

The update for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will let you capture sound for video just like you hear it, in full 360-degree surround. The feature will use Bluetooth LE Audio, a new standard offering bonuses including low-latency and improved battery life to capture binaural recording from the left and right ear bud, syncing it with video letting users experience the video just like they’re there.

The 360 audio recording feature will be rolled out to the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Flip4 with OneUI 5.0, starting today, with Samsung also promising the feature will come to the ‘upcoming Galaxy smartphones’.

Samsung are also updating the Galaxy Watch4 and Watch5 with improved zoom controls for the Camera Controller.

According to Samsung, the update will broaden the current functionality of the Camera Controller app on the Watch4/Watch 5, allowing users to ‘remotely control their compatible Galaxy phone’s camera zoom with a simple pinch of the watch face or a turn of the rotating bezel’.

This feature will begin rolling out to the Galaxy Watch5, Watch5 Pro, Watch4 and Watch4 Classic beginning from February says Samsung.
