Acer has announced a new 17-inch Nitro laptop, the refresh of two Predator Helios gaming laptops and two new Helios gaming laptops at CES 2024.

Nitro 17 gaming laptop

The new Acer Nitro 17 (AN17-72) is powered by up to an Intel Core i7 14th gen processor and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 laptop GPU offering a powerful gaming laptop in a “budget-friendly” price range. The laptop GPU is able to deliver graphics with AI-enhanced DLSS 3.5 technology and full ray tracing.

The Nitro 17 supports up to 32GB of RAM and 2TB SSD storage. The display is a 17.3-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 165Hz refresh rate and a 3ms overdrive response time. Cooling-wise it uses a “streamlined thermal design” with the integration of dual fan quad intake and quad exhaust systems, vector heat pipes and liquid metal thermal grease so you can be sure it won’t over heat on those graphics-heavy games.

For connectivity, the Nitro 17 includes two Type C USB with Thunderbolt 4, a HDMI 2.1 port, and a Micro SD card reader. It also arrives with Killer DoubleShot Pro Ethernet E3100G and Wi-Fi 6E compatibility.
