The Geneva motor show is home to some of the sexiest vehicle announcements of them all, and Toyota is part of that with something they themselves are calling “daringly styled” – the C-HR SUV and it’s coming to Australia in 2017.
The compact SUV market is Australia’s fastest growing new-car segment, so Toyota need to be there and this new SUV the C-HR will arrive in Aussie dealerships in 2017.
“Daring” “Eye Catching” whatever you think, it’s certainly one that stands out – I actually think it looks great, a million miles up from some other recent Toyota designs that’s for sure (*Cough: Mirai).
It packs a 1.2 litre turbo engine and that should throw out 85kW power at 185Nm of torque.
In Australia the five-door C-HR will come in both two wheel and four-wheel drive with the option of a six-speed manual or CVT Auto transmission.
To put it in perspective, it’s just a touch wider and longer than a Corolla hatch so you get that added height over the wheel.
