If you’re in the market for a hatch it’s hard to go past the Hyundai i30. The Korean hatch is a true all-rounder blending value with stacks of standard features, a locally tunned ride and above average build quality. For 2019 Hyundai has announced a tweaked model line-up that replaces the sporty SR variant with new N Line and N Line Premium models.
The SR sat below the blistering i30N hot hatch, but now customers can get even closer to the halo car via a number of N inspired enhancements. The front and rear bumpers now have a more aggro look. 18-inch alloys are wrapped in performance Michelin tyres helping to fill out the wheel arches and special N Line badging adorns the exterior.
The cabin has also been spruced up thanks to unique N line front sports seats, steering wheel and gear knob, red highlights plus black headlining. N Line models also score the more powerful 150kW 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo engine matted to either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch-transmission. The suspension tune is more aggressive than the rest of the range completing the picture.
Hyundai Australia CEO JW Lee said, “The new 2019 i30 N Line models build on the sporty appeal of the previous i30 SR to make our award-winning small car an even more compelling proposition,”
“With the N Line, owners can have an i30 N-derived performance package combined with the everyday practicability of our core Hyundai models.”
Pricing starts from $26,490 through to $35,490.
