You can control Foxtel on Xbox with your voice now

Foxtel on Xbox is one of the best ways to watch Pay TV exclusive sporting events without signing up for an extended contract. And now it gets even better, integrating Kinect voice commands into its functionality.

The voice controls work in exactly the same way as they do for all the other Australian entertainment apps, like iView and SBS OnDemand. If you’re a fan of waving your arms at the television, you can also use the Kinect’s motion sensor to pick out your favourite program.

To have your console react when you’re shouting at the TV, you need to accept the updates that are sent to your Xbox console, before signing back in to the Foxtel application.

Just don’t yell too loudly – the Waratahs can’t hear your pleas for playing decent rugby… Trust me, I’ve yelled myself hoarse trying…
