The last crusade for the temple of doom has finally begun! Now, the raiders will find the lost ark on September 12, when all three original Indiana Jones films arrive on Blu-ray for the first time.
With the trilogy restored to amazing high definition under the supervision of Steven Spielberg, the Blu-ray release is the first time the films will be available on the Blu-ray format.
The original Raiders of the Lost Ark got the most attention, with the original negatives scanned in at 4K and examined frame by frame to check for any damage, while original sound designer Ben Burtt pulled out his original master mix to create the lossless surround soundtrack.
The five disc box set also includes a disc with over seven hours of bonus content, including documentaries and behind the scenes features from the films.
Oh, and the box set also includes that other Indiana Jones film from a few years ago that we try not to talk about. A good thing for completionists, I guess…
