Sometimes a product takes your interest and you just have to have one. When Native Union put their “JUMP” cable on Kickstarter to crowd-fund the product I got straight onto it.

For $59.99 (plus shipping) you can get yourself a JUMP cable which is a neat little package that does a few things.
The cable wraps around the square holder from which it doesn’t come away – when unraveled, the cable comes out each side of the holder. It’s quite a wire like cable so not as “floppy” as you might be used to which makes wrapping it up a breeze.

However, its whats inside that little square holder that makes the difference here. A battery.
A small 800mAh battery will give you about a 30% boost on your iPhone battery, which if you’re at the end of the day and not in range of a power point could make all the difference.
Because the whole package is small and light it can easily be in your pocket all day. Using the cable itself to connect a phone to your PC or power point will charge both the phone and the JUMP cable battery – win win.
It’s a slick little package, a bit on the pricey side, but with Native Union products in Officeworks locally, perhaps we will see the JUMP Cable in stores in Australia soon.
