Sometimes we overlook the great cars available under $20,000 and this week we’ve been scooting around town in one such vehicle. A decent ride, excellent gearbox, well equipped – it’s a Hyundai Accent SR

Most Impressive: I think Hyundai’s infotainment system while simple is one of the best of the old-breed.  We’ve moved a long way in recent years, and while there’s no apps or such tech in here, it’s a simple easy to use and easy to understand touch-screen interface.  Bluetooth phone and streaming audio, along with AUX inputs and iPod connectivity mean you have a great choice for entertainment systems in an affordable car.

Not So Impressive: As a daily drive you won’t find much to complain about – perhaps a little tendency for understeer if you push it into corners, but if that’s the kind of thing that’s worrying you – you’re looking at the wrong class of car.

Early Verdict: Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Accent for it’s solid ride and easy to use in-car systems.
