We’ve reviewed hand-held translators in the past, but we’ve come across one here at CES with a twist. The WT2 Plus allows for hands-free communication plus a connected experience via your smartphone.
The product comes with two earphones equipped with microphones to deliver and receive the translated message. Via the app the message is interpreted and sent to the other earpiece. The system is AI powered and said to have “industry-leading voice algorithm and machine technology.”
36 languages are included, the battery lasts for 15 hours plus the WT2 is iOS 11.0 and Android 7.0 compatible. To further increase accuracy which is said to be around 95 per cent, dual-noise reduction technology is built in.
Sadly during a quick demo it struggled to be anywhere near 95 per cent accurate. But still, nice idea!
