It’s all the rage in 2019 – Customer Loyalty Programs. First up it was Telstra with their Telstra Plus program, and let’s not even count the shopping loyalty programs like eBay Plus. Now EFTM can reveal that Foxtel is getting in on the action with their own loyalty program Foxtel First.
Email invitations are going out to a select group of early test users in the Foxtel Access program. The concept is “putting you, well, first” as the email says.
Foxtel First will offer money-can’t-buy experiences, movie tickets, and major event tickets. We can assume the money-can’t-buy experiences will leverage Foxtel’s large profile of rights to sporting events.
Initial sign-ups to the program will receive one free movie in the Foxtel Movie store, while there is also a clear mention that Foxtel First members will be “first to see some of our latest shows, a movie and other hot picks every week on Bonus”.
With indications that members will be presented into status levels such as Gold, we can expect there to be incentives to rent movies, or perhaps watch more content to gain additional credits to move up the Foxtel First status levels.
No word from Foxtel on an official announcement yet, if you’ve tried it our, or have more info – let us know!
UPDATE: The Foxtel Community pages contain confirmation today that Foxtel First is launching soon and is a loyalty program for the Pay TV network:
